The position serves as the lead academic officer for the School of Unrestricted Education, providing strategic direction for the School’s academic and operational work. The position provides oversight for the following departments: Academic Affairs departments, including its Academic Dean, programs chairs, faculty, and Center for Excellence & Creativity in Teaching; Center for Online Learning; Center for Regional & Extension Education; Center for Innovation, and Compliance Office.

Accomplishments included:

  • Provide leadership for 50+ staff and faculty
  • Manage The Learning House partnership, including online learning curriculum development, faculty/student support, and academic collaboration
  • Lead development of 2-4 new online programs each year
  • Oversee development and administration of a certificate and competency-based education (CBE) programs
  • Manage academics and operations for more than 80 regional campuses and extension sites
  • Manage legal affairs for external education partners, including development of 80+ collaborator agreements each year
  • Oversee state authorization processes for online and physical presence activities in 30+ states
  • Prepare accreditation narratives for nontraditional programs and modalities
