Education

Southeastern University, Assessment Coordinator

November 2008 — Present

I represent the Office of Institutional Effectiveness reporting directly to the Dean, Institutional Research and Retention. The position is to coordinate the assessment processes for both academic and non-academic departments in the university. Entailed in this process is the collection and analysis of all assessment documentation such as the Master Plan of Advance (departmental), Program Learning Outcomes (student learning outcomes), and Curriculum Maps. I serve as the unit administrator for Tk20, a comprehensive assessment software, where information is collected. Tk20 is also the reservoir for faculty course evaluations, various surveys, and course-based assessments (all of which I coordinate throughout the academic year). Other assessment duties include the creation of curriculum maps, support of various academic committees, and regular meetings with deans, chairs, and directors of the university regarding matters of assessment.

From fall 2009 until at least spring 2011, the Office of Institutional Research and Retention serves as the accrediation liason for the university’s ten-year reaffirmation study. In particular, I assist the Dean, Institutional Research and Retention, in the coordination of the Compliance Certificate. We use Compliance Assist, a content management system, from Dataliant. I support the university as the primary administrator and technical contact for the website. Furthermore, our office serves as the primary auditor of all information, including items requiring action from executive leadership. I play a major role in communicating with the university’s executive cabinet, deans, chairs, and directors throughout the reaffirmation process.

During an interim period, I collected, analyzed and reported all data for the university. External customers included IPEDS (U.S. Department of Education), Florida Department of Education, Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida, Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, Petersen’s, U.S. News, etc. Internal customers included the executive cabinet, academic/ non-academic directors, and ultimately the Board of Regents.
